Milanesa de carne, also known as Argentine beef milanese, is a delicious and popular dish in many Latin American countries. Place the beef slices between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them with a meat mallet until they are thin and even.
Season them with egg, onion, garlic salt and black pepper and mix. Add the beef to the mixture and put a side in the refrigerator.
For the tomato sauce cut your onions, tomatoes and red pepper.
In a hot pot, add olive oil and stir fry some garlic cloves, onions, tomatoes, red pepper, fresh thyme and basil pesto, red wine and mix to cook for a couple of minutes then add salt and pepper and cook until everything is well mixed.
In a plate mix three eggs, in another plate add bread crumbs.
Dip each slice of beef in the egg mixture, then in the bread crumbs, again in egg and last in bread crumbs making sure to coat each side evenly. Put a side in the refrigerator.
Back to finishing the sauce, we get all the vegetables out of the cooking pot and into a blender and mix.
Then cut your bacon and cook in a pan with oil until they are crispy. Then Strain the mixture of the sauce and mix with the bacon.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded beef slices, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Add sauce on top of the milanesa and then mozzarella cheese. Flame the cheese to melt and add more sauce on top and decorate with rugula. ENJOY!
